Tom Bonello

Tom has twenty two years of experience teaching art to students in pre/k through grade 12. Despite his college education, Tom really learned all he needed to know about Art and teaching from his grandmother. Jo put art materials in Tom’s hands at an early age and let him sit in on the adult art classes she taught in her kitchen. Tom’s teaching style reflects the same commitment to artistic curiosity and encouragement that his grandmother showed him.

Education: B.A. in Fine Arts, Colby-Sawyer College; M.Ed., University of New Hampshire

Aris Moore

Aris Moore graduated with her B.F.A. in Painting and Drawing from Montserrat College of Art in Beverly, MA in 1998. She has enjoyed teaching visual art at Pentucket Regional Middle School in West Newbury, MA for the past 19 years. In 2012 Aris earned her M.F.A. in Painting and Drawing from the Art Institute of Boston. She has had shows throughout the United States, and her work has been included in art fairs throughout Europe. She has been part of several group shows and had her first solo show at the Jack Hanley Gallery in New York City in 2012. Her work has been published in several books, including The Creative Block and Collage by Danielle Krysa, as well as featured in magazines such as Fukt Magazine for Contemporary Drawing and Frankie. Anna Nuttall

Anna has her B.S. in Art Education and M.Ed in Integrated Art from Plymouth State University. Always enjoying teaching and working with children, Anna pursued a career that melded the two most meaningful areas of her life together: art and education. She loves living and working on the Seacoast and has a particular passion for creating opportunities for youth to develop meaningful relationships with local mentors, charities, organizations, and individual artists through art projects and programming. Most important to Anna is that young people have access to meaningful arts experiences. Over the past 15 years she has served on the board of Art-Speak and as a visual arts instructor at Little Harbour Elementary School in Portsmouth, Chair of the Department of Visual Arts for the Portsmouth Public Schools, and Director of Visual Arts Education at PMAC. She currently teaches visual arts at Portsmouth Middle School. Anna is the recipient of the 2015 NH Governor’s Art Awards in Art Education.

Sophie Ritchie

Sophie Ritchie is a recent graduate of Hampshire College where she studied art. As a part of her senior thesis, she wrote and illustrated a graphic novel. She enjoys working in both digital and traditional mediums, and is especially excited about designing characters. Sophie loves teaching and sharing her love of art with people of all ages! Heather Hernon

Heather Hernon has her BFA in Fine Arts from Plymouth State University. Before teaching part time at Phillips Exeter Academy, Heather worked as a Graphic and Fashion designer in NYC for 20 years. Currently, Heather has an artist studio at the Button Factory in Portsmouth where she loves to draw, sew, and paint. She loves sharing her passion for art with kids, helping them to explore their own artistic creativity.
