What did you study at PMAC? Bass and guitar with Nick Phaneauf and rock camps every summer since forever.
What has an Arts Education meant to you? Music was always a way for me to escape and do something different, this especially became important when PMAC provided opportunities for me to play gigs whether it was for rock camp or some of the session musician stuff I did for another student who recently started her music career. Practicing never feels like a chore or work, it’s always just super fun for me, while also being educational and expanding my knowledge.
What are your plans for the next year? I’m attending the University of New England, majoring in nursing with plans to get my doctorate in nurse anesthesia down the line.

What did you study at PMAC? Alto saxophone lessons with Russ Grazier.
What has an Arts Education meant to you? My arts education taught me the value of hard work, practice, and working towards a goal. It opened up ways for me to relax and unwind in a creative way.
What are your plans for the next year? Attend Fordham University with a major in Biology on the pre-med track.

What did you study at PMAC? Drums with Mike Walsh
What has an Arts Education meant to you? Drums has allowed me to connect with others in a collaborative way like no other and express myself artistically in the process.
What are your plans for the next year? Heading north to Middlebury College

What did you study at PMAC? I studied bass and guitar with Nick Phaneuf and voice with Maria Boudreau. I also took part in the Rock Band and Teen Songwriters in the Round programs.
What has an Arts Education meant to you? To me, an arts education means more than just learning how to hone my craft, though that part is very important. It also means meeting people, forming communities, making new friends, and creating with others. Without PMAC, not only would I not be as good at singing or playing the instruments I do, but I would be far less confident and I wouldn’t be part of such a welcoming community of artists.
What are your plans for the next year? I will be attending UMass Amherst as a music major. I plan to continue honing my skills in both bass and voice, and to pursue music production as well.

Owen F.
What did you study at PMAC? Guitar with Jim Dozet
What has an Arts Education meant to you? Opportunity to learn how to express myself better through music and art
What are your plans for the next year? Pursuing a welding apprenticeship at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard as well as classes at NH School of Mechanical Trades

What did you study at PMAC? Drum Set with Mike Walsh
What has an Arts Education meant to you? Private lessons with PMAC and participating in marching band at Exeter High School, provided me with a well-rounded schedule, which included something I love to do, drum! Participating in the recitals at PMAC gave me the opportunity to show my family how hard I had been working.
What are your plans for the next year? I will be attending Butler University in Indianapolis, IN, pursuing a major in Sports Media. I will also be participating in the Marching Band and the Butler Basketball band.
